Overview
This role focuses on supporting the development and application of mechanical systems for automotive OEMs in Japan.
You will act as a key technical interface between local customers and global engineering teams, contributing to both new project development and ongoing production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical interface with Japanese OEM customers
- Support RFQ activities and design change discussions
- Collaborate with global engineering teams on technical proposals
- Review and submit technical documentation (2D/3D drawings, reports, presentations)
- Support prototype development and validation activities
- Manage technical aspects of projects from development through production
- Coordinate design validation plans (DVP) and ensure compliance with specifications
- Support customer requests related to mass production parts (ECR, PCR, etc.)
- Participate in customer meetings, technical discussions, and project reviews
Requirements
- Experience working with Japanese OEMs (Toyota, Nissan, Honda, etc.)
- Background in mechanical design or product development
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems, including stress, durability, and product performance
- Experience in customer-facing technical roles
- Business-level Japanese and English
