Salary: 8–9.5 million JPY (depending on experience)

Overview

An excellent opportunity for an engineer with systems, embedded software, or requirements management experience to join a global automotive engineering environment supporting advanced electronics programs.

This role focuses on managing customer requirements across the full product development lifecycle, ensuring technical requirements are clearly structured, maintained, tracked, and communicated across engineering teams.

You will work closely with customer engineering teams, project stakeholders, and global development groups to support successful delivery of complex automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage customer requirements throughout the full product development lifecycle
  • Ensure customer specifications and related technical documentation are properly maintained and accessible
  • Coordinate requirements distribution across systems, software, and project teams
  • Support requirements analysis, derivation, and traceability activities
  • Maintain requirements management tools including DOORS / DOORS Next Generation
  • Create and manage requirements baselines
  • Track KPI performance related to requirements completeness and process quality
  • Monitor missing analysis items and traceability gaps
  • Support change management activities including technical analysis coordination and effort estimation support
  • Serve as a communication bridge between customer engineering teams and internal stakeholders
  • Support technical discussions related to requirements, system alignment, and development process execution

Requirements

  • Experience in systems engineering, requirements management, or embedded software development
  • Automotive industry experience preferred
  • Experience using DOORS or DOORS Next Generation
  • Understanding of embedded software, system architecture, or automotive electronics
  • Familiarity with Automotive SPICE or similar automotive development processes
  • Strong communication skills in both Japanese and English
  • Experience working with Japanese OEMs or automotive suppliers is highly valued

Nice to Have

  • Experience in automotive connectivity or embedded electronics
  • Familiarity with wireless technologies such as 5G, LTE, Bluetooth, or WiFi
  • Experience with automotive infotainment or cockpit systems
  • Exposure to system architecture or technical project coordination
  • Experience working in global automotive engineering environments
