Overview
This role is for a Test Engineer responsible for system integration testing and vehicle integration testing of automotive body electronics products.
You will work on advanced electronics systems such as power distribution modules, smart car access, and lighting electronics. The role includes bench testing, vehicle testing, test result analysis, parameter adjustment, and communication with both customers and global engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct system integration testing for body electronics products
- Review customer system specifications and system architecture
- Test each software release at the system level
- Identify gaps between specifications and actual system behavior
- Prepare system test reports
- Perform vehicle integration testing on proving grounds and public roads
- Record system behavior and reference data during test drives
- Evaluate test results and analyze system performance
- Adjust system parameters to improve vehicle performance
- Re-test systems using bench testing, HIL, or SIL environments
- Conduct follow-up testing in vehicles after parameter adjustments
- Prepare technical documentation using configuration management tools
- Communicate with global project teams
- Interface with customers and provide technical updates
- Report test progress, issues, and results to project managers and customers
Requirements
- Native-level Japanese
- Business-level English or above
- Electrical engineering knowledge
- Experience with Vector CANoe or similar tools
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work with customers and global teams
- Microsoft Office skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience in the automotive industry
- Experience with system bench testing
- Experience with vehicle testing or validation
- Experience with body electronics, lighting electronics, smart access, or related automotive electronics systems
- Driver’s license
- Knowledge of Automotive SPICE
